Terna is responsible for the transmission and dispatching of electrical energy on the high and extra high voltage grid throughout Italy. During the year, Terna guaranteed secure procurement by ensuring there were adequate resources to meet demand and by continuously balancing out energy requirements and available resources in real time.
In 2006, system management enabled Terna to successfully resolve critical issues, guaranteeing security and adequate margins of reserve.
